How it works
- Placement
- Your first 5 rated puzzles set your starting rank. Until then there is no rank to lose.
- Climbing
- Solve puzzles first try, without hints. Harder puzzles move you further. Only your first play of a puzzle is rated.
- Demotion shield
- Slip under your division's line and your rank holds. It takes 2 rated puzzles in a row under the line to drop a division, 4 to drop a tier. Get back over the line once and the count clears.
- Seasons
- Your best rank of the season is kept. A new season is a soft reset: 3 placement puzzles, and you start at most one tier below where you finished.
